Our nursery provides nutritious meals prepared daily by our in-house chef.
This includes:
- Breakfast
- Morning snack
- Lunch
- Afternoon snack
- Tea
All meals are designed to support children's health, wellbeing and development, using fresh ingredients and balanced menus.
Children use a range of everyday items throughout the day which support hygiene, comfort and creative play. Contributions help covers items such as:
- Tissues, paper towel and toilet tissue;
- Hand soap, wipes and sanitising products;
- Nappy sacks, gloves and hygiene materials;
- Arts and crafts supplies including paints, glue and creative materials.
Little Gems Daycare provide a wide range of additional learning opportunities and experiences that enrich the nursery curriculum.
These may include:
- Seasonal celebrations such as Mother's Day, Father's Day and Grandparents' Day...
- Nursery events including Christmas fayre and graduation ceremonies;
- Specialist workshops and visiting professionals;
- Interactive learning experiences such as animals encounters;
- Cultural celebrations such as Chinese New Year, Eid, Diwali...

As outlined above, the additional services we provide are optional and not included within government funded childcare hours. Parents may choose to opt out of the additional services if they wish.
Please note that if families choose not to participate in certain additional services, children may not take part in some activities or use certain resources that form part of these services. However, the core Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum will always be delivered, regardless of whether additional services are selected.
If parents decide to opt out of nursery meals, a strict packed lunch policy must be followed when bringing food from home to ensure it meets our health and safety guidelines.
